One of the most unique biomes is found in the Arctic Ocean and the water around Antarctica.  The Polar Ice biome is a marine biome that is rich in nutrients from the land around them, and contain ice.  This makes the perfect environment for plankton, and plankton fuel the surrounding ecosystem.

PLANTS
Very, very, very few aquatic plants can live in this biome.

ANIMALS AND ORGANISMS
Plankton, which provide food for an extremely diverse group of organisms.  Sea lions, penguins, many species of fish and birds, and other mammals all enjoy this biome.

FUN FACTS
There are hundreds of gatherings of literally thousands of penguins every year to lay eggs.  After laying the eggs, the female leaves to go fish, and the male does most of the incubating.
